Besen & Associates In CoStar's Top Property Sales Firms For 2009

CoStar's list of New York City's top property sales firms published in the May 17th issue of Crain's New York Business ranks Besen & Associates number six of twenty that appear on the list.  The list includes commercial real estate transactions of $500,000 or more in the five boroughs of New York City that were reported and confirmed by CoStar as of March 17, 2010.   While Besen occupies the number six spot on the list, the firm is number two within the competitive set of mid-market investment sales brokerage firms.  Besen & Associates is in the top three firms for transaction volume (i.e. number of sales) in 2009.  CoStar reported that Besen completed 41 sales transactions valued at $186,871,500 for 2009.  

Transactions inlcuded (and were not limited to): the sale of 7-9 East 32nd Street, a 76-unit elevator apartment building for $20,250,000, 144-25 Roosevelt Avenue, a 161-unit elevator apartment building in Flushing for $18,700,000, and 150-152 East 23rd Street, 20,000 s.f. loft buildings for $9,500,000.
