Ben Weiss
Ben joined Besen & Associates in 2003. He was raised in Brooklyn and has extensive knowledge of that submarket as well as the metropolitan New York area. His career began by managing a large assisted living facility in Brooklyn for ten years. To follow, Ben moved on to assume the role of Director of Business Development with a large pharmaceutical vendor. He simultaneously pursued his long-term interest in real estate by attending NYU’s Real Estate Institute for a Masters degree in Real Estate Finance.
While completing transactions throughout the metropolitan New York area, Ben has proven expertise in selling Brooklyn multifamily buildings.A recent notable sale was that of a 100-unit elevator apartment building located in the Crown Heights/Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn, which he sold for an unprecedented rent multiplier and price per unit. He has also sold other commercial asset types, including retail and more complex development/ assemblage deals.
Ben is a member of the NYU MSRE Alumni and the Ner Moshe Institute Alumni, where he previously received a degree in Talmudic Law while studying overseas. Ben is fluent in Hebrew, Yiddish and German. He is a full-time volunteer for Hatzoloh Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and is active in the community which he has been a part of for 30+ years.
