Abraham Akhavan

Abraham Akhavan joined Besen & Associates in February 2007 as an investment sales associate. Prior to joining the firm, he owned and operated a successful retail furnishing business. As President & CEO of American Home Furnishings in Randolph, New Jersey, he expanded the business to three locations in both New Jersey and Long Island. Abraham’s expertise in purchasing, negotiating, hiring, training, merchandising, advertising and customer service contributed to the flourishing of the business. Prior to the furnishing business, Abraham worked in the lighting and apparel industries.

Abraham was born in Tehran and is fluent in Farsi. He emigrated here in 1984 and attended Adelphi University.
